Leonard Kress has published poetry, translations, non-fiction, and fiction in journals including Missouri Review, Tupelo Review, Iowa Review, American Poetry Review, Harvard Review, etc. Among his collections are The Orpheus Complex, and Walk Like Bo Diddley. Living in the Candy Store and Other Poems and more recently his new verse translation of the 19th century Polish Romantic epic, Pan Tadeusz by Adam Mickiewicz and Craniotomy Sestinas. Kress has studied Polish at Indiana University and Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, Religion at Temple University, and poetry at Columbia University—and has been awarded multiple grants in poetry and playwriting from the Pennsylvania Council on the Art and the Ohio Arts Council. He has also read and published his work in Poland and Lithuania and lives in Blackwood, NJ, teaching at Temple University.
